Weather is starting to feel like fall and next Wednesday, September 9th we will all gather to pay tribute to the amazing Dolly Parton. In 1973, Dolly released Jolene and we will play this hypnotic, haunting beautiful song in the original key of Am. This three chord song (Am, C, G) should be relatively easy for everyone to learn and play. So this means you all can sing your hearts out.
Check out the simplified chord sheet to familiarize yourselves with the song. On the more complete chord sheet version, there is a tab for the picking part. The strum pattern is an easy one too. Never fear though. If you simply play a single down strum on each chord that will fill the room too.

We encourage all of you to play for the group in our Open Mic session at each meeting. We are here to help, to bring people together, play some music, and bring a little joy to the world!
Spread the word and bring a friend or two! All levels welcome and we even have spare ukuleles for people to borrow if you do not have one of your own.
Play Music on the Porch Day - a world wide celebration of peace
August 29th, was a joyful event, celebrated on the porch of one of our members, with a collection of easy to play songs. We played, sang, shared stories, and enjoyed the beautiful summer evening together.

Our August meeting was a blast! We played "Summer Breeze" by Seals and Crofts to celebrate the breezy August days of summer.
